The highlight here is the unique, giant “egg” building (Hopson One mall) with its incredible underground food city, which is one of the largest in Shanghai. It’s a great place to sample a huge variety of real street-style food in a clean, modern setting.

No, the hotel is not in the city center. However, its proximity to the Line 8 metro station is a huge advantage. Use this to your full potential. You can take Line 8 directly to People's Square to visit the Shanghai Museum, or to Laoximen station to explore the traditional Yu Garden and Old Town. This is much faster and less stressful than taking taxis in Shanghai's heavy traffic.
